Overview
The safari is a combination of nature, culture, and wildlife that allows you to see the highlights of Uganda’s capital city, giving you a chance to visit cultural sites, religious structures, markets, and others, allowing you to see the diverse flora and fauna of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is known for its abundant wildlife and different mammal species and over 600 bird species. Kibale National Park is known for Chimpanzees and is also home to over 13 types of primates which is mesmerizing to look at. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which is most notable for more than 400 gorillas, is half of the world’s population of endangered mountain gorillas, Lake Mburo national park which is home to the largest population of zebra in Uganda estimated at 5,000 and probably contains the highest concentration of leopard found anywhere in Uganda and Murchison Falls National Park known for the most powerful waterfall in the world, also has a lot of wildlife to see while on boat and game safaris. You will spend your nights at the best accommodations while listening to the amazing sounds of the wilderness around you.

Our driver will be waiting for you at the airport, ready to take you to your lodging where you will spend your night. Depending on your arrival time, there are lots of exciting activities to do in Kampala/Entebbe, like visiting the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, Reptile Village, or even a Kampala city tour.

In the morning after breakfast, our guide will pick you up for a tour around This Kampala city tour allows you to tour and see the highlights of Uganda’s capital city. It also gives you a chance to visit Uganda’s cultural sites, religious structures, market setups, transportation modes, and the political and economic history of Uganda. You will visit places like Gadafi Mosque, Uganda Museum, King’s Palace, Bahai Temple, Owino Market, and many others. You will then go for a local lunch before going back to your hotel to get ready for the next day’s journey.

You will start your journey to Murchison falls national park, after an early breakfast, and this is quite a long distance. This Park is famously known for having the most powerful waterfall in the world, where the longest river in the world squeezes through a 7-meter gap and then drops down 45 meters and with a lot of wildlife like giraffes, hippos, elephants, and many others. On this day, there won’t be any activities since it’s a long drive.

Very early in the morning, you go for a game safari and you will be able to see a lot of wildlife like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Bushbucks, Jacksons Hartebeests, Oribi, waterbucks and warthogs to mention but a few. After the game safari, come back to the hotel, have something to eat while getting ready for an afternoon boat safari and this gives you an opportunity to see water-associated birds like the shoebill stork, goliath heron, grey crowned crane, Abyssinian ground hornbill, black-headed lapwing, and Senegal thick-knee.

This is another long drive, after an early breakfast, you will start the drive which takes you to Fort Portal, which is also dubbed the “Tourism City of Uganda”. Lying on the edge of Uganda’s equatorial rainforest, this area code is an enchanting land full of crater lakes, grassland, tea plantations, forests, and mountain ranges. You will have lunch on the way and there won’t be any activities on this day.

After filling breakfast, you will be transferred to Sempaya hot springs which are near Semuliki National Park. This park is famous for being home to the largest population of Uganda kobs and birds. After the hot springs, you will visit Amabere ga Nyinamwiru means “breasts of the mother of a slave”. This is a cultural heritage site amongst the Batoro people who are a tribe in this area.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trekking. This park is not only known for Chimpanzees, it is also home to over 13 types of primates which is mesmerizing to look at. After chimp trekking, you will come back to the hotel for lunch and after you will go for an afternoon activity, the Bigodi swamp community walk, the swamp is also an eco-tourism base that holds hundreds of people in the communities around it and you can find over 20 bird species and various primates, mammals, insects and frogs which make the swamp an interesting one.

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive through different crater lakes, cross the equator, view magnificent mountain Rwenzori ranges, cement factories. When you get to the hotel you will do a boat safari at Kazinga channel, home to a wide range of animals and birds, including one of the world’s largest concentrations of hippos (around 2000) and countless crocodiles. This channel is a wide and long natural channel of 32km (20mi) that links two freshwaters, Lake George and Lake Edward.

The earliest bird catches the worm, and this is definitive of the morning game safari. Offering you great insights into the lives of our “morning” wild counterparts; lions, buffaloes, hippos, elephants, waterbucks, warthogs and so much more. This should cover the rest of the morning and after a bit of chill time, we would be set for the Chimp Trekking. Well scientists say that chimps are humanity’s closest living relatives, and so perhaps this experience will give you a great insight into how true this is.

Go on a morning game safari to Ishasha which is famous because of the unique tree-climbing lions. This Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park is dominated by candelabra trees with big branches that allow lions to hang up there. There are also the savannah word land trees like the acacia trees. After you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, also a sanctuary for colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, and many birds such as hornbills and turacos. It is most notable for the 400 Bwindi gorillas, half of the world’s population of endangered mountain gorillas.

After an early breakfast, the guide will pick you up and take you to the starting point for gorilla tracking. There will be a briefing as you’re given groups/tracking team. Gorilla tracking might take up to 8 hours so you will be provided packed lunch. Afterward, the guide will be waiting to take you back to the hotel to freshen. There are also optional activities like community visits in the afternoon.

After your breakfast, you will be transferred to lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa, having 29 Islands is also a perfect idea for all bird enthusiasts. You will have a boat cruise where you will visit the islands on the lake, see bird species like the grey crowned cranes, levillant cuckoo, white-tailed monad, slender-billed baglafetch, weavers, African harrier hawk, egrets, cardinal woodpecker, grey crowned cranes, African kingfisher, herons. and also visit the Batwa people in their villages, The Batwa people are one of the last groups of short-statured people also known as “Pygmy” people. You will spend your night at one of the hotels at lake Bunyonyi.

After a filling breakfast, you will be transferred to Uganda’s smallest park that is known for Zebras – Lake Mburo National Park. You will have a lunch stop in Mbarara at one of the recognized cultural centers/hotels. Thereafter continue to the hotel and get some chill in the afternoon – reading a book perhaps or getting lost in the wonders of nature, as you gear up for yet another exciting activity – a night game safari to see more wildlife. The main focus of the night game safari is to see the nocturnals; leopards, hyenas, bushbabies, and many more.

In the morning after breakfast, you will go for a morning game safari to spot more wildlife such as impalas, zebras, elands, Topi, antelopes, bush rat, slender mongoose, duiker, Oribis, Bogor reedbuck, and Klipspringers to mention a few. After you will come back for lunch and depart to Entebbe but you have an opportunity to have a stopover at the Equator, which not only serves as a great spot for photos but an opportunity for a quick stretch. Afterward, continue to the airport.
