DOS AND DON’TS DURING GORILLA  AND CHIMPANZEE TRACKING

Water: Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking can be very tiresome and you need to refill your tank as the trek goes on. It is advisable to park a few water filtrations tablets before you come for the trek.

Boots: You will need good waterproof comfortable shoes. Sometimes it rains during the trek, so skid proof shoes can come in handy.

Rain Jacket: You are advised to carry rain jacket because if rains very often in Bwindi Impenetrable forest

Snack: You can carry a light snack to give you some energy during the walk in the forest
Trouser and Shirts Bwindi forest is covered with thick undergrowth,  therefore light trousers and long sleeved shirts are advised.

Socks: You will have to tuck in the trousers into the socks to avoid insects crawling inside.

Gloves: You will need Gardening gloves because you will be grabbing tree branches, leaves, name it, and some can be thorny.

Camera: Carry a good camera (no flash ) to capture this lifetime experience

  1. DAY 1 WELCOME TO KIGALI

    Our experienced drivers/guide will be waiting for you at Kigali International Airport and transfer you to the hotel for an overnight.

  2. DAY 2 KIGALI CITY TOUR

    In the morning after breakfast, our guide will pick you up and take you for a city tour around Kigali. The Capital city of Republic of Rwanda, you will be able to visit places like Kigali Genocide Memorial, Local markets, Art Museum, Coffee cafes, and so many others, after you will be transferred back to the hotel for another night.

  3. DAY 3 DRIVE TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK

    In the morning after breakfast, our guide will pick up and set off for Akagera National park for the game drives and boat cruises where you will be able to see wildlife like elephants, antelopes, lions, Giraffes, Hippos, Rhinos, Leopards and so many others. After the activities, you will be transferred to the hotel for a night.

  4. DAY 4 DRIVE TO VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK

    In the morning after breakfast, you will be picked up by our guide and take you to the morning game drive in Akagera National Park, after the morning game drive, you will drive to Volcano National Park in Musanze for Gorilla Tracking activity.

  5. DAY 5 GORILLA TRACKING AT VOLCANO NATIONAL PARK

    Very early in the morning, the guide will pick you up and drive you to the starting point of gorilla tracking, it might take around 8 hours or more for the activity to get done, after, the guide will pick you up and drive you back to the hotel for another night.

  6. DAY 6 DRIVE TO LAKE KIVU

    In the morning after breakfast, you will be picked up by the guide and drive to Lake Kivu and have a wonderful relaxing day in your hammock and enjoy the beautiful view over Lake Kivu, you will spend your night with the great views of Lake Kivu.

  7. DAY 7 DRIVE TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

    In the morning after breakfast, the guide will pick you up and drive to Nyungwe forest national park for activities like chimpanzee tracking, canopy walk, forest walk and bird watching,

  8. DAY 8 ACTIVITIES IN NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

    In the morning after breakfast, the guide will pick you up and take you for chimpanzee tracking and also other activities like canopy walk, birding, forest. After the guide will take back to the hotel for another night.

  9. DAY 9 TRANSFER TO HUYE AND THEN KIGALI

    In the morning after breakfast, the guide will pick you up and drive to HUYE to visit National Ethnographic Museum, after we drive back to Kigali for the last night in Rwanda.

  10. DAY 10 DEPARTURE FROM KIGALI

    Depending on the departure time, the hotel will organize airport drop off for you.
